Autumn recipe: spicy pasta with lentil sauce


Good morning everyone!

I'm Carlotta Gagna, founder of Traininpink, and today I want to share a simple and delicious recipe that is perfect for a healthy and tasty meal.

Spicy pasta with lentil sauce

Spicy pasta with lentil sauce is a healthy and tasty dish to add to your meal plan. Here's how to make it!


Ingredients:

  • 80g of legume pasta
  • 140g of pre-cooked lentils (or canned)
  • 90g of onion
  • 275g of tomato passata or crushed tomatoes
  • 5g of extra virgin olive oil
  • chilli pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste



Method:


  • Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water following the instructions on the package;
  • Peel and chop the onion;
  • In a pan, heat a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil (5g);
  • Sauté the onion for about 2 minutes;
  • Add the tomato passata and a pinch of salt and chilli pepper, let it simmer;
  • Meanwhile, drain and rinse the lentils;
  • Add the lentils to the sauce;
  • Cook over low heat until the pasta is ready, adding a few tablespoons of pasta cooking water if necessary;
  • Drain the pasta al dente;
  • Add it to the sauce;
  • Toss everything together for 1 minute;
  • Enjoy immediately!
